Summary
We are lookingto recruit an exceptional nurse leader who understands and celebrates the diversity of our local patient and staff populations. The portfolio of the post holder will include the Emergency Care and Medicine division at Newham University Hospital including supporting the core nursing and governance functions across the entire division.

The Deputy Associate Director of Nursing is a key member of the divisional and hospital senior nursing team with specific responsibility for ensuring the delivery of safe & compassionate care within the division. This will include risk management, ensuring professional standards, leadership, appropriate planning implementations, monitoring and review mechanisms are in place which develop high quality patient driven services within the available resources.
The Deputy Associate Director of Nursing will work with the divisional and directorate team to provide strategic leadership, ensure that there are appropriate systems and processes within the Division to enable staff to deliver good quality clinical care and drive forward the service improvement agenda to achieve quality, safety and efficiency gains.
Specifically, the DADoN for the Division will:
• Formally deputise for the ADoN
• Support with the day-to-day responsibility and accountability for the nursing and governance services delivered by the division
• Support PSIRF delivery
• Develop and implement plans to deliver the relevant Trust objectives as required
