An exciting opportunity has arisen for a strategic and enthusiastic individual to support the development of a Business case for the Whipps Cross Centre of Excellence for Frailty and Older people. The role will be based within the Programme team and will involve working closely with the Programme Director and delivery team, senior clinical and operational colleagues and partners in the local health and care economy.

A centre of excellence for Frailty and Complexity, anchored by the Academic Centre for Healthy Ageing (ACHA), offers a unique opportunity to reshape care for an ageing population. The programme is ready to deliver a system wide transformation rapidly that meets national priorities and delivers better outcomes locally.

This role will support the Programme Team to help system colleagues to develop and implement new clinical pathways and innovative ways of working through an integrated care offer, while engaging with local authorities, clinical commissioners, healthcare providers and others in the wider healthcare system to ensure a joined-up approach.

The post holder will need to have strong experience of working as a Strategy Manager or Senior Project Manager in the NHS with highly developed leadership skills, a comprehensive understanding of change management and significant experience in the development and delivery of complex strategic work programmes in large scale organisations.

This new role will lead and co-ordinate the central programme management function for the Centre of Excellence Programme, reporting to the Programme Director, Strategy Delivery Director and working in a matrix approach alongside a multi-professional and multi-agency wider programme team which will include both internal team members and external advisors.
