We are seeking compassionate, resilient and dedicated Residential Support Workers to join our Ofsted Registered Children's Home. You will provide full-time care for children and young people aged 8 - 17 years with Emotional and Behavioural Disorders (EBD) and other complex needs.
At Progressive Independence, our Residential Support Workers provide safe, nurturing, and child-centred care in our Children’s Homes. You’ll be part of a dedicated team making a real difference in the lives of children and young people, helping them feel secure, valued, and supported as they grow.
What the Role Involves
- Building positive, trusting relationships with children.
- Supporting emotional wellbeing, daily routines, and personal development.
- Encouraging education, hobbies, and community engagement.
- Safeguarding children in line with statutory guidance.
- Working as part of a team to create a safe, supportive home environment.
- Recording care plans, keywork sessions, and contributing to reviews.
What We’re Looking For
- Passion and commitment to working with children.
- Patience, resilience, and the ability to stay calm under pressure.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- Ability to adapt to the individual needs of children.
- Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare (or willingness to complete this).
- Use of own car.
- Ideally 2 years of residential experience but not essential.
