About the Role:
We are looking for experienced and dedicated Support Workers to join our team providing high-quality care and support to adults with complex mental health needs and challenging behaviours in supported living and residential settings.
This is an opportunity to make a real difference to people’s lives while working within a supportive and professional care team. You will be working with individuals with a range of complex needs including mental health conditions, learning disabilities, autism, alcohol and substance misuse issues, and individuals at risk of self-harm.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide person-centred care and support tailored to individual needs
Manage challenging behaviour in a calm, professional, and compassionate manner
Support service users with daily living skills, personal care, and emotional well-being
Administer medication in line with care plans and organisational policy
Undertake regular welfare checks and maintain clear, accurate records
Respond effectively to incidents, including safeguarding concerns and self-harm risks
Work closely with a multidisciplinary team including mental health professionals, social workers, and families
Promote independence, dignity, and respect for every individual
Who We’re Looking For:
We are seeking individuals who are patient, resilient, and confident in working with adults who display complex and sometimes challenging behaviours. The ideal candidate will have previous experience in a similar environment and be passionate about delivering safe, high-quality care.
Essential Requirements:
A minimum of 1 years’ experience supporting adults with mental health needs and challenging behaviours
Experience working with complex service users including autism, learning disabilities, substance misuse, and self-harm risks
Current, in-date Ligature Training
Current, in-date CPI (Crisis Prevention Intervention) or equivalent de-escalation training
Experience in safely administering medication in a care or residential setting
Strong understanding of safeguarding, mental health crisis management, and risk assessment
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
A compassionate, patient, and professional approach
