A respected and inclusive school in Exeter is seeking a committed and enthusiastic SEN Learning Support Assistant to join their dedicated support team.

This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who is passionate about supporting students with additional needs and wants to play a meaningful role in their academic, social, and emotional development.

As an SEN Learning Support Assistant, you will work closely with class teachers and SEN staff to ensure pupils with special educational needs receive the individualised support they require to thrive.

Your responsibilities will include:
- Providing 1:1 and small group support tailored to individual student needs


- Assisting in the development and delivery of personalised learning plans
- Adapting classroom materials and activities to support accessibility
- Encouraging confidence, independence, and positive behaviour
- Monitoring and recording student progress
- Communicating effectively with teachers and parents to support consistent learning
- Helping maintain a nurturing and inclusive classroom environment



You'll be a consistent and encouraging presence, helping students overcome barriers and build self-belief.



We're looking for someone who:


- Has experience supporting children or young people with SEN (desirable)
- Holds a relevant qualification in education or childcare (desirable)
- Demonstrates patience, empathy, and understanding
- Communicates clearly and builds positive relationships
- Is creative, adaptable, and solution-focused
- Is committed to inclusive education and pupil wellbeing
