Summary
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic and dynamic registered midwife with clinical research experience to manage and support maternity and obstetric research trials at Broomfield Hospital and also covering Basildon Hospital site.
You will be part of a wider team of research nurses, clinical research practitioners and R&D colleagues providing research opportunities and
support for patients taking part in a diverse portfolio of clinical trials at Broomfield and Basildon Hospitals.
As a research midwife, you will be responsible for assessing and managing the care pathways of women and babies participating in research studies in the Trust’s active research portfolio and ensuring good communication with other members of the R&D Department and East of England Research Delivery Network.
The NIHR Research Delivery Network is the clinical research delivery arm of the NHS. They operate nationally across England through a national
coordinating centre and 12 local branches delivering research in the NHS across all disease areas. They provide the infrastructure that allows
high quality clinical research to take place in the NHS so that patients can benefit from new and better treatments. The NIHR RDN is made of of 12 Regional Research Delivery networks (RRDNs) and a Coordinating centre (RDNCC) working together as single organisation under joint leadership .
You will mainly be focusing on obstetric and maternity studies however support may be required to cover on other speciality studies if the need arose.
