PE Teacher – Part-time, long-term temporary role starting as soon as possible for over 6 weeks with potential to continue

Leaders work closely with staff to uphold high expectations, ensuring pupils feel safe, motivated, and engaged. Pupils respond well to purposeful PE lessons that promote teamwork, resilience, and healthy development.

Duties as PE Teacher:

  • Teach PE on a part‑time basis across relevant year groups
  • Deliver engaging practical lessons that promote active participation
  • Maintain consistent routines and positive behaviour expectations
  • Adapt learning activities for mixed abilities and needs
  • Provide verbal feedback to support pupil progress
  • Support the organisation of PE resources and lesson setup
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues to ensure consistency
  • Uphold safeguarding expectations and prioritise pupil welfare

Ideal PE Teacher:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) with experience teaching PE
  • Strong behaviour management and communication skills
  • Able to motivate and support pupils of varied abilities
  • Proactive, adaptable, and organised in lesson delivery
  • Confident teaching practical sessions safely and effectively
  • Dedicated to safeguarding and promoting pupil well‑being
  • Reliable, flexible, and committed to supporting the wider school team
