Summary

Job Title: SEN Tutor Core Subjects (Salford)

Job Type: Temporary | Part-Time | 20 hours per week
Start Date: March 2026

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced SEN Tutor to support students in Salford, helping to close the learning gaps in core subjects such as English and Maths. This role involves providing tailored, one-to-one tuition for students with Special Educational Needs (SEN), including Autism, ADHD, and SEMH (Social, Emotional, and Mental Health) needs.

Key Responsibilities:
Deliver one-to-one GCSE English and Maths lessons tailored to students individual learning needs.
Adapt teaching methods and pace to support emotional regulation and various learning styles.
Build a positive, trusting rapport with students to foster a supportive learning environment.
Provide feedback to parents/carers and professionals to track and monitor student progress.
Support students with study skills, revision techniques, and exam preparation.

Essential Requirements:
Minimum 1 year of experience teaching or tutoring English or Maths.
Experience working with students with SEN, particularly in a 1:1 setting.
Right to work in the UK.
Must have, or be willing to undertake, an Enhanced DBS check.

Desirable Qualifications:
PGCE in Secondary Education and/or Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
Experience working with students who have Autism, ADHD, or SEMH needs.
