Summary

Job Title: SEN Tutor Core Subjects (Trafford)
Location: Trafford

Job Type: Temporary | Part-Time | 20 hours per week
Start Date: March 2026

We are seeking an experienced SEN Tutor to support students in Trafford, delivering tailored one-to-one lessons in core subjects like English and Maths. You will help students with Special Educational Needs (SEN), including Autism, ADHD, and SEMH, build confidence and achieve their academic potential.

Key Responsibilities:
Provide one-to-one tutoring in GCSE Maths and English, adapted to meet the needs of students with SEN.
Support students emotional regulation and learning, using strategies tailored to individual needs.
Develop students study skills, revision techniques, and exam confidence.
Build positive, trusting relationships with students to create a safe and supportive learning environment.
Provide regular progress updates to parents/carers and professionals.

Essential Requirements:
Minimum 1 year of experience teaching or tutoring English or Maths.
Experience working with students with SEN in a 1:1 or small group setting.
Right to work in the UK.
Must have, or be willing to undertake, an Enhanced DBS check.

Desirable Qualifications:
PGCE or QTS (Qualified Teacher Status).
Experience working with students who have Autism, ADHD, or SEMH needs.
