Senior Business Analyst – 12‑Month Fixed‑Term Contract
Location: Grantham / Hybrid (3 Days a week in the office)
Hours: Monday – Friday 9am-5pm 12 Month FTC
Salary: £60,000-£65,000 depending on Experience
Are you an experienced Senior Business Analyst looking for a role where you can combine hands‑on delivery with leadership
responsibility? PayPlan is seeking a dynamic and collaborative Senior Business Analyst to join our Delivery Team on a 12‑month
fixed‑term contract.
This is a fantastic opportunity to operate in a hybrid player/manager capacity - leading, coaching, and developing Business
Analysts while also driving high‑quality analysis across strategic initiatives that support PayPlan’s mission and future growth.
As a Senior Business Analyst, you will:
Lead & Develop People
* Manage, coach, and mentor a team of Business Analysts
* Set clear objectives and maintain high-quality standards of BA deliverables
* Support portfolio resource planning and capacity management
* Foster a collaborative, high‑performing culture
* Act as the escalation point for complex BA challenges
* Champion best-practice BA tools, techniques, and methodologies
Deliver Hands‑On Analysis
* Own and deliver end‑to‑end business analysis for key projects
* Conduct discovery, requirements gathering, and documentation
* Facilitate workshops and process mapping sessions
* Partner with Product Owners, SMEs, technical teams, and Delivery Leads
* Analyse processes, identify gaps, and recommend improvements
* Support UX, development, and QA throughout the full delivery lifecycle
* Contribute to business cases and options appraisals
About you:
Essential Experience & Skills
* Proven Senior Business Analyst experience in Agile environments
* Must hold a recognised Business Analysis qualification
* Background in Financial Services
* Previous mentoring, coaching, or line‑management responsibility
* Excellent facilitation, communication, and stakeholder engagement skills
* Strong process modelling and requirements‑definition expertise
* Ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously
* Able to simplify complexity and communicate clearly at all levels
Desirable
* Familiarity with Jira, Confluence, Miro, Visio, or similar tools
* Understanding of data analysis or business architecture concepts
* Experience supporting change management and user adoption
