Are you an ambitious Business Development Manager looking to own your territory and drive sales in a high-quality engineering and manufacturing environment?

This is an exciting opportunity to join a multi award winning business needing a technically minded individual combining product knowledge, lead generation, and customer engagement.

What you will be doing as Business Development Manager:
• Drive UK and EU sales strategy and manage key accounts, including high-value deals.
• Represent the business to internationally, maintaining strong B2B relationships.
• Manage the full sales cycle, from lead generation and CRM management to quoting, closing, and after-sales support.
• Support marketing initiatives and product launches, working with external agencies.
• Provide commercial input and feedback to senior management on market trends, opportunities, and customer needs.
• Go out and about to meet customers, provide product demonstrations, manage own diary and customer base.
• Hit KPIs and targets across revenue, dealer growth, and geographic expansion, with a commission structure to reward success.

Person Specification for Business Development Manager
• Technically minded with an interest in machinery, manufacturing, or construction equipment.
• Self-motivated, proactive, and able to thrive in a hands-on, family-business culture while maintaining a corporate edge.
• Full UK driving license and willingness to travel across the UK.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Self-motivated and proactive, comfortable making cold calls and identifying new business opportunities.
• Eager to develop a career in technical sales/business development.
• UK travel for key accounts and dealer visits (a handful of overnight trips per year) and overseas travel to meet distributors and dealers as required.

Hours are Monday to Friday 9am – 5pm, but with an earlier finish Friday.
