About the role:
The Assessment Team takes all new referrals into the service and we complete Child Protection Enquiries where there are a risk of significant harm and Care and Wellbeing Assessments where care and support needs may be identified. The work in the team is fast paced and short term and if longer term involvement is identified we transfer to the relevant team / service. Although the social work in the team is time limited, we prioritise building positive relationships with families based on principles of collaboration and partnership working. Our
work is strengths based and restorative approaches such as Signs of Safety are consistently used.

This is an opportunity to further develop your skills and experience and to expand the role and take on new responsibilities as an already qualified social worker .
What you will do:
As a Senior Social Worker, you will be supported to offer peer support ad
guidance to NQSWs and new staff in the team, opportunities to co-work and you’ll have opportunity to be involved in the development of student social workers. You will contribute the team development and best practice. The role will enable you to develop specialisms/ lead on areas such as CE and missing from home. You will be supported to carry a caseload of children with complex needs. You will join a supportive and nurturing team and can expect strong supportive management and guidance. You would be joining a supportive team of committed social care staff and you will receive mentoring and support in the
new role.
This position has a requirement for an Enhanced DBS Check
