Join us at Voyage Care, where you’ll oversee a large and diverse vehicle portfolio that plays a vital role in supporting the people we care for.
About the Role
As our Fleet Manager, you will lead the day-to-day performance and long‑term development of our company fleet. You’ll ensure our vehicles are safe, compliant, cost-effective, and meet the needs of our services across the UK.
You’ll manage a team of Fleet Support Specialists and work closely with Procurement, Operations, Health & Safety, HR, and Sustainability to deliver a modern, efficient and well-managed fleet.
This role combines operational leadership, supplier management, compliance oversight and strategic planning — perfect for someone who enjoys both detailed management and big-picture thinking.
⭐ Key Responsibilities
- Lead and develop the fleet team to deliver a responsive and efficient service.
- Manage the daily workflow of the fleet inbox, vehicle movements, and mileage reviews.
- Oversee procurement of new vehicles, contract negotiations, and supplier performance.
- Maintain full compliance across the fleet — including insurance, MOT, tax, licence checks and telematics policies.
- Drive fleet safety initiatives, including monitoring driver behaviour and FNOL analysis.
- Control maintenance, repair costs and vehicle downtime.
- Support the electrification strategy, including EV charger installations.
- Produce regular performance reports and drive improvements through data and insights.
- Lead fleet budgeting and forecasting.
What We’re Looking For
- 3+ years’ experience in fleet management (essential)
- Strong people management experience
- Excellent knowledge of fleet legislation, compliance and industry trends
- Confident in data analysis, decision-making and process improvement
- Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills
- Project management expertise (essential); change management desirable
- Ability to build effective relationships with suppliers and operational teams
- A proactive leader who can drive continual improvement and safety culture
Why Voyage Care?
- Influence and shape a national fleet that directly supports vulnerable people
- Play a key role in sustainability and innovation within an evolving fleet strategy
- Collaborative, supportive working culture
- Opportunities for professional development and career progression
