The Role – Clinical & Leadership Focus
This is a hands-on Head Nurse position combining leadership and clinical excellence.
Your duties will include:
-
Overseeing and monitoring admitted patients
-
Anaesthesia monitoring and surgical support
-
Assisting vets in theatre and consults
-
Blood sampling & IV catheter placement
-
Nurse-led procedures including dental descaling
-
Running nursing clinics
-
In-house laboratory work
-
Discharging patients and client communication
-
Accurate record keeping (inpatient charts, anaesthetic sheets, insurance paperwork)
-
Supporting infection control (instrument autoclaving, bedding, uniforms)
-
Supporting and guiding the nursing team
About You
-
Minimum 2 years’ experience as a Head Veterinary Nurse

Confident leader who enjoys mentoring and supporting colleagues
-
Highly organised with excellent communication skills
-
Passionate about delivering exceptional patient and client care
-
Positive, adaptable and solution-focused
