Salary: Up to £40,000 per annum + benefits
A fantastic opportunity has opened for an experienced Head Veterinary Nurse to lead a busy, high-performing small animal clinic in West London. This leadership role is perfect for a confident, proactive RCVS Registered Veterinary Nurse passionate about veterinary nursing leadership and delivering exceptional patient care.
The Head RVN will shape clinical standards, mentor a skilled nursing team, and ensure a seamless client experience in a forward-thinking, technology-driven practice.
Role Overview
The Head RVN will lead and inspire the nursing team, balancing hands-on clinical work with team management and operational oversight. This role is central to maintaining the clinic’s high standards of animal care, fostering a supportive, collaborative culture, and making sure modern veterinary technology is used to its fullest potential.
Key aspects of the role include:
• Leading, mentoring, and motivating the veterinary nursing team
• Ensuring the smooth daily running of a busy small animal practice
• Maintaining the highest standards of clinical excellence, patient care, and health & safety
• Collaborating closely with veterinary surgeons and reception teams to deliver an outstanding client journey
• Managing stock control, medical supplies, and equipment maintenance
• Promoting a positive, inclusive, and professional team culture
• Contributing to service development, CPD, and continuous improvement initiatives
Benefits
• Salary: Up to £40,000 per annum (depending on experience)
• Annual Leave: 25 days + bank holidays, birthday off after 1 year
