We are seeking a confident and capable Depot Facilities Supervisor to support improved day-to-day FM operations across the Hull and Leeds sites on the NTL/Northern Rail account.
This role will focus on providing robust facilities management oversight spanning both Hard and Soft Services, ensuring safe, compliant and efficient delivery within an operational rail maintenance environment.
Job Description
We are looking for an individual who can effectively manage contractors, liaise closely with Northern Rail stakeholders and act as a key on-site FM presence.
Working across the Leeds and Hull depots, you will ensure effective day‑to‑day FM oversight and strong engagement with all site stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
Fulfil Northern Rail contractor management duties, including supervising WPP/RAMS/PTW processes and balancing operational and FM requirements.
Liaise with subcontractor groups and key stakeholders to ensure timely issue of work authorisations and permits in line with procedures.
Plan and prioritise works alongside stakeholders to maintain operational efficiency.
Conduct audits and inspections of subcontractor activities to ensure compliance with procedural and legislative requirements.
Report, investigate and drive corrective or preventative actions for any subcontractor non-conformances or violations.
Produce compliance reporting to support operational transparency and identify opportunities for improvement.
React promptly to unforeseen issues across the Hull and Leeds depots.
Oversee day-to-day contractor processing, including checking qualifications, RAMS, method statements, risk assessments and supply chain performance.
Professional and Personal Competencies/Qualifications
Confident, resilient and able to work effectively with a range of stakeholders.
Strong communication and soft management skills to build relationships with Northern Rail site managers.
FM experience, ideally with technical elements.
Understanding of RAMS and risk assessments.
Rail industry experience is advantageous but not essential.
Ability to follow direction from FM leadership and collaborate closely to deliver all FM outputs.
