Role Overview
We are seeking an experienced and skilled Specialist Support Worker to join our team in Worcestershire, specialising in working with children and young people who exhibit harmful sexual behaviour, providing high-quality support and guidance to help them address their behaviours and develop positive relationships, utilising expertise in child and adolescent mental health, and therapeutic interventions, to ensure the best possible outcomes for these individuals.
Key Responsibilities
The successful candidate will be responsible for providing one-to-one support, group work, and therapeutic interventions to children and young people who exhibit harmful sexual behaviour, working closely with our multidisciplinary team to develop and implement individualised support plans, ensuring that each child or young person receives tailored guidance and care, and utilising behaviour management techniques, and safeguarding principles to promote positive relationships and outcomes.
Required Skills & Experience
To be considered for this role, you must have extensive experience working with children and young people who exhibit harmful sexual behaviour, as well as relevant experience in social care, childcare, or education, and a deep understanding of the complexities surrounding harmful sexual behaviour, including its causes, effects, and treatment approaches, excellent communication and interpersonal skills are essential, as you will be working closely with children, young people, and their families, as well as our multidisciplinary team.
