Children's Residential Support Worker, Oxford, £14.50 - £18.00 per hour

Role Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Children's Residential Support Worker to join our team in Oxford, providing high-quality care and support to children and young people in a residential setting. As a support worker, you will play a vital role in creating a safe, nurturing, and inclusive environment that promotes the physical, emotional, and social development of our service users. Key Responsibilities
• Provide emotional support, guidance, and mentoring to children and young people, helping them to build confidence, self-esteem, and independence
• Develop and implement individualised care plans, working collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams to ensure holistic support
• Create a positive and inclusive living environment, promoting social skills, education, and recreational activities
• Manage challenging behaviours, using de-escalation techniques and positive reinforcement to maintain a safe and calm atmosphere
• Maintain accurate records, reports, and documentation, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and organisational policies

Required Skills & Experience
• Experience of working with children and young people in a residential or community setting, either in a paid or voluntary capacity
• NVQ Level 3 in Health and Social Care, Children and Young People's Workforce, or a related field (desirable)
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and teamwork skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with service users, colleagues, and external stakeholders
• Ability to work flexibly, including evenings, weekends, and sleep-in shifts, to meet the needs of the service
• Commitment to safeguarding, equality, and diversity, with a passion for delivering high-quality, person-centred support
