We are seeking Therapeutic Residential Children’s Support Workers to join our Oxford team, delivering specialised care in residential settings.
About the Role
As a Therapeutic Residential Children’s Support Worker, you will provide high-quality, person-centred care to children and young people, helping them thrive in a safe, nurturing, and therapeutic environment. You will support their emotional well-being, independence, and social development while fostering confidence and life skills.
Key Responsibilities
Provide direct therapeutic care and support to children and young people in residential settings
Assist with daily routines, personal care, and social activities
Support children in developing life skills and promoting independence
Implement care plans, therapeutic strategies, and risk assessments to meet individual needs
Work collaboratively as part of a dedicated, multidisciplinary team
Maintain accurate records and reports in line with safeguarding and professional standards
Promote a safe, supportive, and stimulating environment for all children
About You
Experience with children and young people with autism, learning differences, or complex needs (preferred but not essential)
Compassionate, patient, and empathetic approach
Flexible to work week day and weekends
Strong communication, teamwork, and problem-solving skills
Knowledge of safeguarding and child protection procedures
A valid DBS certificate or willingness to obtain one
