We are looking for a Breakfast Club Assistant to help create a warm, welcoming start to the school day at Merchants’ Academy Primary. As our Breakfast Assistant, you’ll support pupils, prepare simple meals, and set the tone for a positive morning routine.
Key responsibilities: To set up cutlery, drinks and crockery for the children and clear away when required. Maintain a register of children attending and supervise the children being seated. To both prepare and serve the applicable breakfast options as and when children arrive at the club and assist the children in selecting their breakfast. Assist in preparing the breakfast club facilities and activities to ensure the quality standards agreed are met. Establish good relationships with the children who attend the club by encouraging cooperation and mutual support.
Pay range: £2,901.61 (per annum) Full time equivalent - £24,413.00 5 hours per week, 39 weeks per year 7.45am – 8.45am Monday - Friday
Qualifications and Skills: Minimum of 5 GCSEs grade 4-9 including Maths and English (or equivalent) Current First Aid qualification or willing to work towards Demonstrate ability to deal with sensitive and emotional students Able to maintain discipline, command attention and encourage high standards of pupil behaviour at all times Ability to communicate effectively with a range of stakeholders including colleagues, parents and children
