Summary
After School Club Leader - Term Time Only
Location: Horfield Primary School (BS10)
Hours: 22.5 hours per week
Working pattern: Monday to Friday, 2:00pm - 6:15pm
Pay: £14.00 per hour
Contract: Term-time only
We are looking for a friendly, confident After School Club Leader to run our after-school provision at Horfield Primary School.
This role involves leading a small team, keeping children safe, and making sure they have a fun and positive experience at the end of their school day. You will be the main person in charge on site, with support from our wider team.
This is a great opportunity for someone with childcare or playwork experience who wants more responsibility in a supportive setting.
Main duties:
• Lead a small team of staff during after-school sessions
• Make sure children aged 4–11 are safe, happy and engaged
• Act as the main contact on site during sessions
• Follow safeguarding and health & safety procedures (full training provided)
• Plan activities and prepare the session space
• Keep basic records and communicate with parents and school staff
We are looking for someone who:
• Has experience working with children (school, nursery, clubs or similar)
• Has a Level 2 childcare/playwork qualification or is willing to work towards one
• Has leadership or supervisory experience
• Is responsible, calm and reliable
• Is confident using basic IT (emails, simple systems)
