Summary
Redfield Educate Together are looking for a dedicated and enthusiastic Learning Support Assistant to join our team, working in our Reception class.
Experience working in Reception or an EYFS setting is essential, and experience of working with SEND children is beneficial.

We are currently seeking a dedicated Learning Support Assistant with the following attributes:
• Proven experience in a Reception or EYFS setting.
• An understanding of the importance of early learning and child development.
• An understanding of early childhood development and the EYFS curriculum
• A strong understanding of Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) needs and how these can present in children.
• A calm, flexible, and resilient approach to supporting learners
• Experience and ability to support children with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) on a 1:1 basis or within small group settings.
• A comprehension of the impact of trauma on children.
• Skills to build positive and nurturing relationships with children to foster their development and well-being.
• Initiative, alongside the ability to work collaboratively as part of a dedicated team.
• Proven experience in managing children with SEND, demonstrating effective strategies to support their learning journeys.

This is a full-time permanent post-Monday to Friday 8:30am - 3:45pm ( until 4.30pm on Wednesdays for staff meeting).There may also be an opportunity to take on Breakfast Club Hours which would be a 7:45am start.Salary is NJC SP5 which is currently £25,583 pro rata.
The actual salary is £20,861.Closing date 23rd February at 9am.Interviews will be held shortly afterwards.
