An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Clinical Team Manager at Greater Manchester Mental Health Tactical Urgent Triage Team (GM MHUT).

Emergency services are receiving increasing volumes of calls for individuals presenting with acute mental health issues in the community. A significant proportion of emergency services resource is being used to support individuals struggling with their mental health, who often present with complex issues that require further assessment and ongoing support.

The Mental Health Urgent Triage Team (MHUT) are a partnership between Greater Manchester Mental Health Trust, Pennine Care NHS Foundation Trust, North West Ambulance Service (NWAS) and Greater Manchester Police (GMP). The postholder will provide operational leadership to the team. The postholder will be based within the clinical hub in Sefton House and will be trained in the use of the EOC software systems.

Provide effective leadership to the designated team.

Participate in and provide regular clinical supervision as per Trust policy.

Complete IPDR's with designated team as per trust policy.

Deputise for and represent the Operational Manager when required.

Implement workload supervision to monitor the standards of service user care and professional advice delivered.

Work with local services to enhance pathways, seeking opportunity when clinically appropriate to reduce the demand on emergency services and improve the experience of the service user.

Develop and maintain effective working partnerships with services

Ensure record keeping is in accordance with Professional and Trust standards by completing regular clinical audits with the team.

Participate and take a lead in promoting positive interagency working.

Manage the Health Roster for 24 hour shift pattern.

Ensure a safe space for the team during regular staff meeting and case reviews.

Undertake a senior practitioner role as required within the service to maintain direct assessment and care skills/working knowledge of the service.

Formulate and implement local clinical and operational practices and procedures as appropriate.

Take a lead in the recruitment and selection and induction processes in accordance with all three Trust policies

Proactively support the formulation and implementation of clinical and operational practices, and procedures as appropriate.
