Summary

We're looking for a Logistics Assistant to join our Manchester Airport Rail team based in Manchester. In this role you'll be supporting the Logistics team ensuring the safe and efficient movement of deliveries, vehicles and people on site.



Location: Manchester Airport - remote working available, with occasional travel to the office required.

Hours: 12-month Fixed Term Contract 42 hours per week

Salary: £35,000 per year + benefits

What will you be responsible for?As a Logistics Assistant, you'll be the welcoming face at our site entrance, ensuring all deliveries and visitors are managed efficiently while maintaining security procedures

Your day to day will include:

-Managing the entry point, checking credentials and directing visitors and deliveries to appropriate locations

-Performing banksman duties to safely guide vehicles to their designated areas

-Using our digital delivery management system to schedule and log all deliveries

-Maintaining site security and ensuring all signage and hoarding is properly displayed

-Communicating effectively with the site team to resolve any delivery conflicts

What are we looking for?This role of Logistics Assistant is great if you:

-Have proven experience managing high volume delivery schedules, stores and supply chain on major construction schemes

-Can coordinate and oversee logistics programmes that align with project plans

-Demonstrate a strong commitment to maintaining high standards of health and safety

-Are highly organised with the ability to prioritise effectively when managing multiple deliveries

-Hold a valid CSCS card
