Summary

We're looking for a Logistics Manager to join our Aviation Team based in Manchester.



Location: Manchester

Hours: 40 hours per week - some flexibility on hours available if desired, just let us know when you speak to us.

What will you be responsible for?

As a Logistics Manager, you'll be working within the Logistics team, supporting them in delivering construction programmes efficiently and safely, you'll be at the heart of our project operations, ensuring seamless coordination of deliveries, materials, and team movements. Working closely with site managers, you'll develop and implement logistics plans that keep our projects running efficiently while maintaining the highest safety standards. This is an opportunity to showcase your organisational talents and make a meaningful impact in a collaborative environment. Your day to day will include:

-Managing logistics plans for deliveries, materials, and plant movements to ensure project timelines are met

-Coordinating with suppliers and subcontractors to schedule deliveries and resolve conflicts

-Overseeing the digital Just on Time Delivery system and ensuring compliance

-Leading a team of 5 logistics assistants to maintain site safety and organisation

-Liaising with external stakeholders including MAG, Metrolink and nearby hotels to minimise disruption



What are we looking for?

This role of Logistics Manager is great for you if:

-You have experience managing high-volume delivery schedules and supply chains on construction projects

-Can manage logistics programmes aligned with the project plan

-Possess excellent communication skills and enjoy collaborating with diverse teams

-Demonstrate strong health and safety knowledge and hold SSSTS/SMSTS certification, have lift supervisor competence (Training can be provided)
