Crynodeb

We’re delighted to be recruiting Machine Operators for a well-established food manufacturing site based in Edinburgh (EH11 4HN). This is a full-time, permanent opportunity working a rotating dayshift pattern, Monday to Friday, with shifts running 6am–2pm and 2pm–10pm.
We bake some of the UK’s most recognisable and much-loved biscuits. Formed through the coming together of two leading biscuit manufacturers, we are now a single, integrated business with a strong heritage and an exciting future. Our portfolio includes iconic household brands, alongside trusted partnerships producing for some of the UK’s largest retailers and household names.
People are at the heart of everything we do. Our success is built on the passion, commitment and ideas of our teams, and we believe that great products come from great people. We’re looking for individuals who bring energy, curiosity and a proactive mindset — people who want to be part of something bigger and help drive us forward. With ambitious growth plans and a clear focus on market leadership, there’s never been a better time to join us.
As a Machine Operator, you’ll play a key role in our production operation, ensuring our products are wrapped to the highest standards and reach customers exactly as they should. You’ll be responsible for operating and maintaining high-speed wrapping machinery, helping to keep production running smoothly and minimising downtime. You’ll work closely with a large, collaborative team on shift and be an active contributor to our Total Productive Maintenance approach, focused on efficiency, quality and continuous improvement.
On a day-to-day basis, you’ll be operating high-speed wrapping machines and checkweighers, checking product codes, and completing accurate production documentation. You’ll maintain excellent hygiene and housekeeping standards through clean-as-you-go practices, while consistently upholding our quality, health and safety expectations. As you become confident in the role, you’ll also support and train new team members, helping them succeed from day one.
This role would suit someone with previous machinery operating experience, ideally within a fast-paced environment, who takes pride in producing high-quality work. We’re looking for people with strong attention to detail, a commitment to safety and hygiene standards, and the ability to work well as part of a team. A proactive approach, a willingness to learn and develop, and the confidence to take ownership of your work are all important. Experience with wrapping machinery is beneficial, but full training will be provided.
If you’re looking for a long-term role within a stable manufacturing environment where teamwork, development and quality truly matter, we’d love to hear from you.
