The Role & Responsibilities:
The Assistant Strategic Housing Officer sits within the Strategic Housing team, which oversees the development of the Council’s housing policies and strategies, enabling affordable housing and oversees the Council’s tenant engagement service.
The role will provide all round dedicated support to the Strategic Housing Team focusing on the delivery of the Council’s tenant engagement service, housing policy and the Council’s preparation for regulatory inspection.

We are looking for someone who has:
Experience of working in an administrative or customer service occupation.
An ability to communicate clearly and build relationships with tenants, residents, and staff, both written and verbal, adapting style and approach to meet the needs of a diverse community.
Excellent customer service skills, including on the telephone, in person and other communication methods.
Proficient use of IT systems including Word, Outlook and Excel.
The ability to work under pressure, prioritise takes and manage workload by effective time management.
The ability to work independently, and within a professional and multi-occupational team / environment.
GCSE English and Maths Grade C or above (Grades 4-9) or equivalent.
