SEND Teaching Assistant – Flexible short-term and long-term opportunities available immediately
These flexible opportunities are ideal for support staff who enjoy variety and want to make a positive impact across different school settings. You will be supporting pupils in Feltham and the surrounding areas, helping them access learning and develop confidence, independence, and essential life skills.Duties as SEND Teaching Assistant:

• Provide one-to-one and small‑group support for pupils with SEND
• Assist teachers in delivering adapted and differentiated learning activities
• Help implement individual education plans and personalised support strategies
• Support pupils with emotional regulation and communication needs
• Promote a calm, positive, and inclusive learning environment
• Assist pupils with personal care needs where required
• Monitor and record pupil progress and share observations with teaching staff
• Contribute to wider school life during longer‑term placements

Ideal SEND Teaching Assistant:

• Previous experience supporting pupils with SEND
• Understanding of strategies for supporting needs such as autism, ADHD, SEMH, and communication difficulties
• Patience, empathy, and strong interpersonal skills
• Ability to build positive, nurturing relationships with pupils
• Confident using behaviour management and de‑escalation strategies
• Adaptable across different key stages and school environments
• Commitment to safeguarding and promoting pupil welfare
• Willingness to undertake relevant training and development
