Summary

As the Medical Physics Expert in Molecular Imaging and Therapies, the post holder will be responsible for: Optimising medical exposures and establishing Diagnostic Reference Levels Defining and overseeing the performance of equipment quality assurance Conducting commissioning and acceptance testing of imaging systems, new technologies and techniques. Be responsible for the definitive calibration of the equipment. Advising on equipment, room and installation design Monitoring and ensuring the ongoing surveillance of equipment. Analysing and investigating accidental or unintended radiation exposures. Selecting appropriate equipment for radiation protection measurements. Providing training, guidance and scientific support to practitioners and other staff on radiation safety and best practices. Advise on patient imaging and therapies procedures for standard and non-standard cases Write comprehensive reports for new procedures, equipment and techniques, including commissioning reports and work instructions. Be the radiation protection supervisor (RPS) in his/her area
