Summary

Job Title: CNC Miller – Programmer (Heidenhain Controls)

Location: Birkenhead

Shift: Various shifts available

Salary: OTE £50,000 – £65,000

About the Role
We’re looking for an experienced CNC Miller Programmer to join a precision engineering team specialising in aerospace components. You’ll be working on 4 and 5-axis CNC milling machines with Heidenhain controls, programming and producing high-quality, precision components to tight tolerances. The role involves creating, editing, and optimising programs, including speeds and feeds, for a range of materials.

Key Responsibilities
⦁ Program, set, and operate 4 & 5-axis CNC milling machines
⦁ Create and edit programs using Heidenhain controls
⦁ Produce high-precision aerospace components to strict tolerances
⦁ Calculate and optimise speeds and feeds for different materials and cutting conditions
⦁ Maintain quality and accuracy throughout the machining process
⦁ Work collaboratively with the team to meet production schedules
⦁ Follow health, safety, and operational procedures at all times

Skills & Experience Required
⦁ Proven experience as a CNC Miller Programmer
⦁ Strong experience with Heidenhain controls
⦁ Experience on 4 & 5-axis milling machines
⦁ Aerospace machining experience is a strong advantage
⦁ Strong understanding of precision measurement, tolerances, and quality standards
⦁ Confident calculating and applying speeds and feeds
⦁ Proactive and reliable team player

Benefits
⦁ OTE £50,000 – £65,000 depending on shift and experience
⦁ Overtime paid at x1.5
⦁ 25 days holiday + statutory bank holidays
