This is an excellent opportunity for a teacher who is passionate about inclusive education and committed to helping children and young people with complex needs thrive academically, socially, and emotionally.

About the Role

As an SEN Teacher, you will deliver highly personalised and engaging learning experiences tailored to pupils’ individual needs, abilities, and EHCP outcomes. Teaching will take place in small classes, supported by skilled teaching assistants and a multidisciplinary team, allowing you to focus on meaningful progress, communication, independence, and wellbeing.

You will work across a 7–19 age range, adapting your approach to meet learners at different developmental stages and ensuring learning is accessible, motivating, and purposeful.

Create a structured, nurturing, and inclusive classroom environment

Use alternative and augmentative communication (AAC), where appropriate

Monitor progress and contribute to reviews and assessment processes

Work closely with teaching assistants, therapists, and pastoral teams

Promote independence, confidence, emotional regulation, and positive behaviour

About You

Experience teaching pupils with SEN and complex needs is highly desirable

Understanding of ASD, SEMH, SLD and/or PLD (training and support provided where needed)

Patient, flexible, and resilient, with a calm and nurturing approach

Committed to inclusive, child-centred practice and positive outcomes for all learners

Open to learning and developing specialist SEN skills

What the School Offers

Small class sizes and a high staff-to-pupil ratio

A well-resourced specialist environment designed around pupil needs
