Aurora Woodlands School is an independent day school in Lancashire providing specialist education for young people with Social, Emotional and Mental Health difficulties (SEMH). The role: Your role as our HLTA is to support one of our young people 1:1 by promoting learning and personal development.Please note that duties may vary and you will be expected to contribute to the overall aims of Aurora Woodlands School when required.
Successful candidates are likely to demonstrate –The Higher Level Teaching Assistant Diploma or equivalent Level 4 qualification is requiredGCSE pass above C (or 4 in the new GCSE system) in English and MathsRelevant knowledge and experience of pupils with SEN, SLD/PMLD, ADHD and ASDUnderstanding of the Safeguarding principles and Child Protection proceduresExperience of managing a range of approaches to behaviour, including managing behaviours that challenge.Able to work within the parameters of the physical demands of the job role.
