Summary
The Headteacher at one of our local community primary schools in the Blackburn area is looking to recruit a highly experienced and qualified team member, to support on a one to one basis for a pupil in a KS2 class.
You would need extensive understanding of ASD. ADHD and previous 1 to 1 support experience with a range of SEND.
The role has an immediate start date for the right candidate, therefore holding a valid DBS on the update service is of an advantage.
A trial day and or period trial for the role would be expected.
You would need to demonstrate clear capability in supporting either in class or on a 1 to 1 basis, having knowledge of the Year 4 curriculum.
The role will be full time, the school hours being 830am to 330pm, Monday to Friday.
Key Requirements:
- A relevant Teaching Assistant qualification with placement experience, as educational references are required
- Experience within a classroom environment and previous support posts
- A passion for supporting children of all levels with different needs
- Having a valid DBS on the update service would be of an advantage
