As a consultant at Hays Education, I'm delighted to be working closely with a warm, welcoming and supportive primary school in the Clayton‑le‑Moors area to recruit a dedicated Teaching Assistant to provide one‑to‑one support for a KS2 pupil with ADHD and behavioural needs.
Your new role
This is a full‑time, long‑term position with the potential to continue on an ongoing temporary basis. - Providing consistent 1:1 support to a KS2 pupil with ADHD
- Helping the pupil regulate emotions, stay focused and engage positively in learning
- Working closely with the class teacher and SENCO to implement personalised strategies
- Encouraging independence, resilience and confidence
- Supporting the wider classroom environment when needed
What you'll need to succeed
- Experience supporting children with additional needs, particularly ADHD or behavioural challenges
- A calm, patient and proactive approach
- Strong communication skills and the ability to build positive, trusting relationships
- Reliability, commitment and a genuine desire to make a sustained impact
