Crynodeb
To work as part of the administration team, assisting with various services to include the Colposcopy service encompassing SQAS (the Screening Quality Assurance Service), EPAU, and any other services commensurate with the role and in line with Trust policies and procedures. To carry out administrative duties to provide an efficient and effective service to the Womens & Childrens Services CBU and clinical multidisciplinary teams. To ensure that the administration of these services adhere effectively to the National and local targets. The confidential nature of all work concerning patients must be understood and safeguarded. The Administrator is part of a team and must regard the interests of the patient as paramount and, as such, must be aware of the Data Protection Act (1998) and be aware of the consequences of the failure to comply with this. To provide a full administration service as required and be the first point of contact for the multidisciplinary team. To cross-cover across both sites and across specialities as and when required. To answer telephone queries and provide non-clinical advice regarding patient care when appropriate. To facilitate provision of information relating to appointments and admissions to patients as necessary. Provide ad-hoc retrieval of medical records relating to patients within specific services and to ensure these case notes are tracked in accordance with Trust Policy. To communicate with GPs, patients, relatives, other hospitals etc and deal with them as necessary. To deal with any correspondence efficiently passing on to the relevant clinician for action. To participate in training activities of an on-going nature and in respect of new initiatives. Undertake self-supervision and effective self-organisation in terms of managing own workload on a day to day basis.
