Summary
We are looking for a hardworking, enthusiastic individual to lead a dedicated team of front of house staff working in Spooner’s.
We can offer you:
• Starting salary above National Living Wage, exact amount dependant on experience
• Permanent contract to start March 2026
• Guaranteed minimum of 24 hours a week, up to 40 hours a week during the operating season

Working mainly evenings and weekends, the successful candidate will work in the café and bar of this busy catering outlet, maximizing profit and improving customer service standards. You will be required to supervise a small team of Food and Beverage Assistants and lead by example working on the café counter or bar; and serving customers at tables as required. Candidates should have proven experience of working in a catering / hospitality environment. This is a front of house position so you must have good communication skills and a friendly disposition.
The successful candidate will thrive working in a fast-paced, busy environment. Candidates should be able to work daytime or evening shifts; and must be available to work at weekends.
Core Skills:
• Hospitality experience in a Front of House role is essential
• Experience of bar work is desirable
• Leadership or supervisory experience is required
• Team player
• The ability to delegate and manage own time effectively is required
• Good communication skills
• The ability to work cleanly and tidily
• A basic knowledge and understanding of food and kitchen hygiene is desirable
• The ability to speak Welsh would be an advantage as would knowledge of the railways and their passengers; and the local area.
