Hays are pleased to be working with a warm and ambitious one‑form‑entry primary school in Coventry. The school is now looking for a dedicated and engaging Year 3 Teacher to join the team from March, working two days per week until the end of the academic year. This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys teaching lower KS2 and wants to contribute meaningfully to a close‑knit school community while maintaining a part‑time working pattern. The leadership team are keen to meet interested teachers soon.
Your new role
- Planning and delivering well‑structured, engaging lessons that support Year 3 pupils to make strong progress across the curriculum.
- Working closely with the KS2 team to ensure consistency, share ideas and contribute to a positive learning culture.
- Adapting teaching to meet the varied needs within the class, ensuring all pupils feel supported, challenged and valued.
- Assessing and tracking pupil progress with care and accuracy, using this information to inform next steps and celebrate successes.
- Contributing to the wider life of the school, demonstrating professionalism, flexibility and a commitment to the school's inclusive ethos.
What you'll need to succeed
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and experience teaching within KS2, ideally Year 3.
- Strong behaviour management and the ability to build positive, trusting relationships with pupils.
- Secure understanding of the KS2 curriculum and confidence in delivering high‑quality, engaging lessons.
- A reflective, collaborative approach when working with colleagues, parents and external professionals.
- A warm, child‑centred teaching style and a genuine enthusiasm for supporting pupils at this stage of their learning.
