ICT - Driving Technological Transformation
We are looking for someone to manage change and release activities within our ICT environment. This role ensures that all changes are properly logged, assessed, authorised, planned, tested, implemented, and reviewed so that risks are controlled and disruption to council services is minimised. You will oversee the release process and make sure ICT solutions are tested and delivered on time, supporting business transformation and maintaining service continuity.
You will work closely with technical teams and business partners to ensure new services are supported before going live, that operational teams understand how they work, and that any known issues are documented. The role involves writing clear technical documentation, managing change and release processes, monitoring performance, and reporting on effectiveness. You will also identify improvements, chair meetings such as the Change Advisory Board when required, and act as the main liaison for ICT aspects of new projects.
We are looking for someone educated to degree level or with equivalent experience, with an ITIL v3 or v4 Foundation qualification. You should have experience supporting ICT transformation projects, managing change and release processes, and making informed decisions in a technical environment.
Strong communication skills and the ability to assess both technical and business impacts of change are essential.
If you are organised, proactive, and passionate about delivering reliable ICT services, we would love to hear from you.
