The Service Improvement Officer will support the development, monitoring, and continuous improvement of Children’s Disability Services. Working closely with managers, practitioners, partner agencies, and families, the role focuses on improving service quality, performance, and outcomes for children and young people with disabilities.
The postholder will analyse performance data, support audits and service reviews, and contribute to inspection readiness (including Ofsted and CQC). They will lead or support service improvement projects, develop reporting tools, and help embed best practice, co-production, and accountability across the service.
The role involves engaging children, young people, parents, and carers to ensure lived experience informs service design and improvement. The postholder will also work collaboratively with education, health, and social care partners to promote integrated and effective services.
The successful candidate will have experience in children’s services or a related field, strong analytical and project management skills, and a good understanding of statutory frameworks affecting children with disabilities. A commitment to equality, inclusion, and continuous improvement is essential.
The post is subject to an Enhanced DBS check and may require occasional evening or weekend working.
