Description

We are seeking an Experienced Fostering and Kinship Social Worker to join our dynamic team dedicated to improving the lives of children and families in need. In this role, you will have the opportunity to make a real difference in the community by providing support, guidance, and expertise to foster and kinship caregivers. Your passion for child welfare and your experience in social work will be instrumental in assessing the needs of children and families, developing tailored care plans, and ensuring children are placed in safe and nurturing environments. You will be working collaboratively with various stakeholders including local authorities, health professionals, and educational institutions to advocate for the best interests of children under your care. This position requires a deep understanding of fostering regulations, child development principles, and the ability to navigate complex emotional and social situations. Responsibilities
Assess the needs of children and families involved in fostering and kinship arrangements.
Develop and implement tailored care plans in collaboration with caregivers and relevant stakeholders.
Conduct thorough assessments and home studies for potential foster and kinship placements.
Provide ongoing support, training, and supervision to foster and kinship caregivers.
Facilitate training sessions and workshops for foster and kinship families.
Monitor and evaluate the progress of children in placements, ensuring their safety and well-being.
Liaise with schools, health services, and other community resources to support the needs of children and families.
Requirements
A degree in Social Work or a related field, and a valid social work license.
Minimum of 3 years of experience in fostering and kinship social work or child welfare.
Strong knowledge of relevant legislation, regulations, and best practices in child welfare.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with diverse populations.
Proven ability to manage complex caseloads and work independently.
Experience in developing and facilitating training for foster and kinship families.
Strong assessment and analytical skills, with attention to detail in documentation.

End Time: 17:30
Pay Per Hour: £15.98
Location: Worcester, Worcestershire
