Responsibilities
Conduct regular inspections of highways to assess their condition and identify necessary repairs.
Evaluate highway designs, materials, and construction methods for compliance with regulations and standards.
Monitor contractor performance during highway maintenance and construction projects to ensure quality workmanship.
Prepare detailed inspection reports and documentation related to findings and recommendations.
Collaborate with engineers and project managers to plan and implement highway maintenance strategies.
Communicate with local authorities and stakeholders regarding maintenance needs and traffic safety issues.
Stay updated on highway safety standards and best practices in highway inspection and maintenance.
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Transportation Engineering, or a related field.
Proven experience in highway inspection, maintenance, or construction.
Strong knowledge of highway safety regulations and engineering principles.
Excellent observational and analytical skills to assess infrastructure conditions.
Effective communication skills, both verbal and written, to articulate findings and recommendations.
Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Familiarity with inspection tools and technology for documenting highway conditions.
Hours Per Week: 36.00
Start Time: 09:00
End Time: 17:00
Pay Per Hour: £24.06
