Crynodeb
The appointed doctor will have the opportunity to attend and be educationally involved in a minimum of 3 Consultant and 1 Specialist Registrar ward rounds per week. He/she will take an equal share in the management of patients within the Neurology Department and be actively involved in both acute take and elective admissions taking responsibility in turn for acute neurology admissions and GP calls, and elective admissions to the department. The post-holder will also have the opportunity to be part of the stroke team that is involved in acute stroke treatment such as thrombolysis and caring for patients in the acute stroke unit. It is envisaged that each of the teams will work together to assist each other with ward duties.
