High5 Recruitment is proud to represent a brand-new, therapeutic 2-bed children's home in Shropshire. We are seeking a high-calibre Deputy Manager to join a founding team. This is a unique opportunity to secure a Monday to Friday, 9-5 role while maintaining a high-level of clinical and operational influence.
Our ideal DM will be looking for a "stayer" - someone with a stable employment history who understands that consistency is the foundation of trauma-informed care. You must be a confident leader capable of overseeing the home in the absence of the Registered Manager (RM).
The key requirements and qualifications required are your Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare, and you must have a minimum of 18 months experience in either a Team Leader or Deputy Manager position within an Ofsted regulated setting.
You will require a thorough understanding of Children's Home Regulations 2015 and Ofsted Quality Standards.
You must have a valid UK Driving Licence and access to your own vehicle.
You should be a resilient manager who can remain calm and focused under pressure and should be committed to doing what is right for the young people, even when it's challenging. As the Right-hand to the Registered Manager you should be a natural leader who can mentor a new staff team.
