On Call Commitments The successful candidate will be on the gastroenterology registrar on call rota, providing out-of-hour advice and emergency endoscopy provision. At a tertiary center, this includes receiving referrals from external hospitals for transfer for intervention inclusive of interventional radiology involvement. Emergency out-of-hours endoscopy is undertaken in theatre. Weekends and Bank Holidays on call will involve inpatient ward rounds for hepatology and luminal gastroenterology patients and seeing routine referrals. On calls are supported by an on-call Consultant 24/7, and the weekend/bank holiday are supported by a ward consultant on call in addition
