Job title: Personal Assistant (PA)
Reporting to: The Employer
Location: Worcester, WR1
Job purpose:
To assist with a variety of tasks which will assist the employer who needs care and support to live their personal and social life according to their wishes and interests.
About the employer:
Our client is a 26-year-old female living in Worcester who is looking to recruit a Personal Assistant to provide support with daily living tasks and social support for 6 hours per week.
Client has diagnosed physical and mental health conditions.
Main duties:
Social duties:
Accessing the community and public transport to attend the supermarket
Accessing services and organisations in the community when needed.
Support with correspondence and completing paperwork, booking/ managing and attending appointments.
Personal care: Support to ensure safety when showering- the client can shower independently.
Support to ensure safety due to POTS (this can be monitored from outside the bathroom).
Domestic duties: Support with batch cooking and light domestic chores, support at allotment plot when necessary.
These duties may vary from day-to-day.
Type of person that you/they are looking for:
Values: Someone that is honest, reliable, punctual, non-judgemental, ability to build good relationships based on trust and respect, flexible, adaptable, easy going, able to work alone, positive, willingness to travel and understands equality and diversity.
Specific requirements: Someone with knowledge and understanding of mental health diagnoses, neurodivergence, some understanding of restricted eating/disordered eating would be beneficial. Experience in trauma informed approaches.
Other: Due to the nature of this role including personal care the potential employer will be considering female applicants only.
Hours of work: 6 hours per week –
2 hours per day Monday, Wednesday & Friday 11am – 1pm or 12pm – 2pm
Rate of pay: £12.50 per hour
Skills, qualifications, and experience
Essential:
Knowledge and understanding of mental health diagnoses.
Knowledge and understanding of neurodivergence.
Some understanding of restricted eating/disordered eating would be beneficial.
Experience In trauma informed approaches.
Patient, kind and reliable.
Driver, if possible, to support with grocery shops.
Someone who can build a professional relationship.
Successful applicants will require DBS checks & Employment References.
This role is funded by the Local Authority and is paid 4 weekly.
