Job title: Personal Assistant (PA)
Reporting to: The Employer
Location: Powick, Worcestershire WR2
Job purpose:
To assist with a variety of tasks which will assist the person who needs care and support to live their personal and social life according to their wishes and interests.
About the employer:
Our client is a 46-year-old female living in the Powick area of Worcestershire who is looking to recruit a Personal Assistant to provide support for 20 hours per week with all aspects of daily living for her and her children.
Main duties:
Social duties:
Keep in touch and socialise with family and friends
Attend medical appointments if required
Access local community
Support children to and from school
Attend social events if required
Personal care: Support with all personal care for our client & the children. Support with medication.
Domestic duties: Support with grocery shopping, cooking and serving nutritious meals and snacks, cleaning, changing linen, laundry and ironing.
These duties may vary from day-to-day.
Type of person that you/they are looking for:
Values: Someone that is honest, reliable, punctual, non-judgemental, ability to build good relationships based on trust and respect, flexible, adaptable, easy going, able to work alone, positive, willingness to travel, understands equality and diversity.
Specific requirements: Someone with previous experience of working with children with special education needs. Must be a driver.
Other: Due to the nature of this role including personal care the potential employer will be considering female applicants only.
Hours of work: 20 hours per week – Times to be discussed at interview
Rate of pay: £12.50 per hour
Skills, qualifications, and experience
Essential:
Full UK Driving Licence
Car and appropriate insurance
Previous care & support experience
Confidentiality
Good at building relationships
Preferred:
Good communicator
A good listener
Ability to support people with complex care & support needs.
Successful applicants will require DBS checks & Employment References.
This role is funded by the Local Authority and is paid 4 weekly.
