Job title: Personal Assistant (PA)

Job purpose:
To assist with a variety of tasks which will assist the person who needs care and support to live their personal and social life according to their wishes and interests.
About the employer:
Our client is looking to recruit a Personal Assistant to provide support to their 7-year-old daughter who has complex needs, medical & neurodivergent on a 1:1 basis for 8 hours per week.
Hours will predominantly be at the weekend, every other & potentially the odd evening in the week, but all this can be discussed & confirmed with the right person.
Main duties:
Social duties:
Keep in touch and socialise with family and friends
Support to visit the park and Snoezelen
Support with activities
Do hobbies such as colouring, playing with Lego
Personal care: support with showering, dressing, oral care, toileting, medication support and supervision when eating.
These duties may vary from day-to-day.
Type of person that you/they are looking for:
Values: someone that is honest, reliable, punctual, non-judgemental, ability to build good relationships based on trust and respect, flexible, adaptable, easy going, able to work alone, positive, willingness to travel, understands equality and diversity or has a good sense of humour.
Specific requirements: Someone with previous experience of working with children with complex care needs.

Skills, qualifications, and experience
Essential:
Full UK driving licence
Car and appropriate insurance
Previous experience of working with children with complex care needs
Confidentiality
Good at building relationships
Good communicator
A good listener
Successful applicants will require DBS checks & Employment References.
This role is funded by the Local Authority and is paid 4 weekly.
