Summary

Street Scene Enforcement Officer

Cardiff | Temporary | Full-Time

Introduction

Acorn by Synergie is looking for Street Scene Enforcement Officers to work on a temporary basis in Cardiff. A full clean driving licence is essential for this role. This is an opportunity to make a real impact in your community by helping to keep Cardiff clean and safe.

Key Duties:
  • Patrol neighbourhoods to monitor waste, littering, and dog control issues.

  • Educate the public and businesses on proper waste storage and recycling.

  • Investigate complaints and gather evidence for enforcement action.

  • Issue Fixed Penalty Notices and work on prosecution cases where necessary.

  • Work closely with local communities, other council departments, and agencies to solve problems and promote cleaner streets.

  • Keep detailed records using mobile and digital systems.

Requirements:
  • Strong communication skills, confident talking to the public and resolving issues calmly.

  • A well organised and fair approach to investigating and enforcing rules.

  • Good IT skills and ability to manage digital records.

  • Understanding of environmental issues and waste legislation (training can be provided).

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, outdoors in all weathers.
