At the Driver and Vehicle Licensing Agency (DVLA) our Associate End User Computing (EUC) Engineers work under limited supervision supporting several products, product sets, systems and hardware to help maintain the availability of the IT service experienced by end users. Working in a multi skilled team-based environment, the engineer has responsibility for providing IT support to customers/contractors.

Aspects of the role include, but are not limited to ServiceNow, Deskside support, Install, Moves and Changes to End User devices, Build Lab Engineering and IT Stores asset management. Our core working hours are between 7am - 5pm.

Your responsibilities will include, but aren’t limited to:

Apply and operate EUC processes, tools and technologies and highlight areas for improvement in support of I&OPS and ITS objectives. Take ownership for listening to and understanding the customer’s problem. Escalate and/or gain support where necessary to resolve the problem. Use relevant information to diagnose and to resolve or enable resolution in line with agreed service levels. Meet user needs in relation to End User Devices and have the technical understanding of a variety of products to match the needs of users to a range of appropriate devices. Keep up to date with new or emerging technologies. Work closely with Service Asset and Configuration Management team to support the reuse and disposal of assets in line with agreed processes and policies. Support the digital transformation of DVLA services in line with UK Government Digital Strategy.
