Summary
A Personal Assistant is required to support a sixteen-year-old autistic young man with ADHD, living in Indian Queens.
He is looking for someone with whom he can build a positive and trusting relationship.
The role involves providing 1:1 support to help him engage in local community activities, practice life-skills and develop his independence.
He loves getting out into the community and exploring new places.
Rate of Pay: £13.45 per hour, with potential for a higher rate depending on experience and relevant skills.
Hours: 5 hours per week, with flexible scheduling to suit the candidate’s availability. Availability after school, on weekends, and during school holidays is required.
This is a rewarding opportunity to support a young person in building confidence, gaining independence, and making meaningful progress in his life.
Experience supporting young people on the autism spectrum would be a distinct advantage.
A full driving licence and access to own vehicle is essential.
The successful applicant will be employed under a private arrangement with the family, and not be employed or carry out work for Cornwall Council.
